DIY Natural Body Care Open House
In this hands on workshop, young people will learn the importance of self care and how to make lip balm, body butter, a sugar scrub, bath bombs and more. Students will go home with recipes and their own creations that they can personalize with essential oils and their own labels.
We'll have snacks, spa water and herbal teas to sustain us while we work.

We'll also taste and create herbal teas for relaxation, learn about meditation and gratitude journaling and explore wellness in a safe and fun environment.
This will be a blitz of flour, for sure, and a great challenge for kids who want to learn more about baking.
Biscuits, Naan, Banana Bread and Yeast Rolls are all baked goods but use different techniques and leavening agents.
With a little bit of science and a whole lot of rolling and mixing and measuring we will knock out 4 amazing breads in 3 hours. Whew! Super fun and rewarding!
In this 4 week session, kids will love learning how to cook some of their favorite foods like Mac N Cheese, Pizza, Tomato Soup + Grilled Cheese and Tacos. (We'll sneak in some delicious + nutritious elements to make them extra special).
Preschoolers love to experience food with their hands! We'll explore everything from leafy greens to squishy beans and taste along the way, too.

Essential Reiki and Guidance will present a Reiki and Meditation Workshop for kids ages 7-12 on Wednesday, August 3rd from 11-1. The class will include various activities exploring the use of Reiki and meditation that kids can use to help them in all aspects of their everyday life.
Susan Schwarting is a Reiki Master Teacher and Certified Meditation Instructor. She has specific training and experience working with children in teaching Reiki and meditation.
