Fire Cider - a Folk Remedy Workshop

Have you heard of fire cider? Not for the faint of heart- this folk remedy is crafted from horseradish, garlic, onion, ginger, and hot peppers infused in vinegar. The resulting beverage is healing and warming-  It's worth it! Plus you can use fire cider in so many ways — from cold cure to cooking to cocktails.

Learn how to make Fire Cider with Allison from our Wellness Department. You'll take home your own starter batch!



Instructor Bio: Allison Brown

With almost 10 years of Farmers Market experience, organizing group projects and receiving an Associates Degree in Holistic Nutrition and Western Herbalism, Allison Brown is glad to be apart of the Sugar Beet co-op Wellness team. It is a big passion of hers to teach and empower individuals or groups about clean whole foods and the accessibility to self care. In her off time she is working on a seasonal herb and nutrition zine that includes recipes, stories and plant identification. 

This workshop is limited to 10 people and you must rsvp to reserve a spot.  The class is free but a suggested donation of $10 to our Community Wellness programming fund is appreciated. This fund will be used to build our community of skill sharing and good food enthusiasts!
