MICROBIOME 101: Health from the Inside Out + Wellness Wednesday Tastings

  • Sugar Beet Food Co-op 812 Madison Street Oak Park, IL, 60302 United States (map)

One of the most intimate relationships that our body has with the outside world is through our gut. Our gastrointestinal tracts harbor a vast and still largely unexplored microbial world known as the human microbiome that scientists are only just beginning to understand. Researchers are recognizing the integral role of the microbiome in human physiology, health, and disease — with microbes playing critical roles in many metabolic pathways — and the intimate nature of the relationships between the microbiome and both physiology and diet.
Join our Wellness Team member, Lisa Tipton, for a discussion about how you can leverage the innate health of your digestive tract. Learn about how enzymes and probiotics work to build a healthy digestive tract.

Lisa Tipton

Lisa specializes in digestion, hormones, weight loss and identifying food intolerances. In her coaching practice she works with a technique that removes beliefs from the subconscious mind that are not serving us and are actually blocking us from achieving the results we truly want and desire.  Empowering individuals and teaching them how to eat a sustainable, whole foods diet is what Lisa is most passionate about. She truly believes that food is our most valuable resource for longevity and well-being.
