This workshop was so popular in October that we are running it again!
Join Chef Ronak Patel and discover the wonderful world of spices. This class will focus on spices that go into a traditional Indian chai, how to toast them, grind them and use them for making Chai Tea and other recipes. Attendees will be given samples of chai to enjoy during the workshop (dairy free available) and the opportunity to create their own chai spice blend from spices, available in the bulk department, to take home.

ABOUT CHEF RONAK PATEL
Chef Ronak Patel gained a love of preparing and eating eclectic foods at a young age. His parents welcomed his company in the kitchen and introduced him to food from around the world. After first pursuing his interest in film at Columbia College, Ronak decided to pursue his initial love of cooking through attending Le Cordon Bleu Chicago. During culinary school, Ronak completed an externship under Chef Maneet Chauhan at Vermilion. Ronak has worked for catering companies throughout the Chicagoland area, including Chef Daniel Private Dining, Urban Chef Chicago, Gourmet Gorilla, Aramark at Loyola University, Levy Events, The Perfect Dinner, Revel Central and Crème Crafted Parties and Catering. Since May 2014, Ronak has been the owner and private dining chef at Chef Ronak (chefronak.com). Through his work experience, his schooling, and his diverse ethnic background, Ronak has gained an immense understanding of various foods, tastes, and how to provide for clients’ needs.
